She has been involved in multiple clinical research projects in the areas of vitamin D deficiency prevalence in various injuries and stress fracture imaging and risk factors.ĭr. She has been an invited speaker nationally and internationally, sharing her expertise on bone health of the athlete, the female athlete triad, stress fractures, and overuse injuries. She also has a special interest in the care of basketball players, runners and triathletes. As a prior collegiate basketball player with continued active lifestyle, she understands what it means to be an athlete and focuses on safe return to activity for her patient. Her main interests are stress fractures and the female athlete triad, which is the related components of nutrition-exercise balance, menstrual function, and bone health. Goolsby treats patients for a variety of musculoskeletal complaints seeking non-surgical care. She is board certified in family medicine with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine.ĭr.
